The Planning Committee voted five to one in favour of the proposals, which were submitted earlier this year by the building’s owners, Ken and Sarah Jenkins.
They applied for a change of use for La Rocque Chapel and Hall off Grande Route des Sablons, which had been a Methodist centre since 1838 until it closed last year.
Following the approval, part of the church hall and 1960s extension is due to become the workshop for local business TK Design.
Under the plans, further space in the chapel hall is to be turned into a showroom for the workshop.
