The Société Jersiaise Photographic Archive and Jersey Heritage have launched an appeal calling on Islanders to submit photographs taken in the decade ahead of a major exhibition which will take place in 2017 at Jersey Museum, called Bergerac’s Island.
The exhibition will tell the story of the 1980s in Jersey and will include the ten best photos of Islanders enjoying life in the Eighties.
So whether you were dancing to Wham!, playing sport with your mates, or just sporting big hair and hot pants in the park, the Société Jersiaise would like you to send them your photos to help it preserve a vital visual record of Jersey’s heritage for future generations.
The closing date for submissions is 30 June. For more information and to submit photographs, visit societe-jersiaise.org.
