Mike King, the chief executive of EDD, said that he ‘checked in’ with Keith Cavele – the man behind Canbedone Productions and the Crystal Island project – on a ‘fairly regular basis’ and that the film director was continuing to seek finance which would allow the project to proceed.
And Mr Cavele is reportedly still interested in carrying out some of the filming in Jersey.
However, Mr King said that given the challenging financial climate around the world, progress was not likely any time soon.
