Jersey signs anti-financial crime agreement

Other British dependencies, such as the other Crown Dependencies – Guernsey and the Isle of Man – and Overseas Territories, like the British Virgin Islands, are also due to sign the agreement, which is aimed to increase transparency standards in their financial services industries.

Senator Gorst said that the agreement was ‘business as usual’ for Jersey, which has had a beneficial ownership register since 1989 and has often shared information with UK agencies, such as the National Crime Agency, during that time.
