The event saw a variety of acts perform from poets and rappers to house-music DJs

Two people were arrested and officers made 15 drug seizures during the festival which ran between 11 am and 11 pm.

Inspector Mark Coxshall, head of community policing said: ‘From a policing perspective Reasons festival passed with relatively few incidents. We had a handful of noise complaints, approximately 30 people were ejected for drunkenness, behaviour or being under age and two arrests were made for public order and licensing offences.

‘Fifteen drug seizures were made from people trying to enter the festival in possession of suspected illegal substances. These will be submitted to the States Analyst and further investigations will follow, to investigate any offences with the individuals concerned.’

Spoken word duo, Raymond Antrobus from London and Jerseyman, Christian Foley, who performed at the event believed that the festival needed time to grow but said it have been well organised.

Mr Foley said: ‘It takes a lot of initiative and a lot of bravery to actually turn an idea like this into reality.

‘They are also competing against other festivals in the Island, the major one being Jersey Live.’

Mr Antrobus added: ‘The event is still so young, it’s still developing.

Festivalgoer, Robert Smith (21) from Jersey said that he liked how a small festival offered such a variety of acts.

He said: ‘I am amazed how much they have managed to cram into here. I did not expect there to be as much as this.

‘The weather has been really good too which I think has made a big difference.’

Matthew Coles added: ‘I really like the vibe, I think because it is a small festival; it is a lot more intimate. The only problem I have is how you cannot use card to pay for things but it did say to bring cash.

‘I did not see any trouble and the staff were all very friendly so overall I would say it has been great.’
