Robin Pittman, who has been a keen long-distance walker for most of his life but now uses walking-sticks to aid him, has written several books documenting his journeys around the Island, and is in the process of writing a new one called Steps with Sticks: Round Jersey Again.
Mr Pittman finished the final stage of the 48-mile walk on Friday, which was in aid of Jersey’s Stroke Association and which he had divided into 14 stages to make it more manageable.
He has raised almost £1,000 in donations so far, but would like to collect as much as possible.
Cheques made out to the Jersey Stroke Association can be sent to Robin Pittman, Le Hurel, Rue du Hurel, JE3 3AL, and people who donate will receive a copy of his book as a thank you.
