Former world champion freestyle football master John Farnworth showed off his skills at Les Ormes’ indoor soccer dome to mark the launch of a new series of classes for Jersey youngsters. There was a good turnout for the launch of their Brazilian Soccer Schools/Socatots new classes on Saturday, with children enjoying the chance to take part in free football training sessions.
It was also a successful weekend for the Island’s netballers, with Jersey winning both matches in their annual games against visiting Redbridge.
Saturday evening also saw the official opening of the Caesarean Tennis Club.
Meanwhile, conditions were cold but dry for the Advisa Hepburn Oracle junior cross-country event at Noirmont, which also took place on Saturday.
