The property, which overlooks St Brelade’s Bay, was sold, with contents and land, for £10,975,000 to Beauport House Ltd.
After moving to the Island in the mid-1990s Mr Mansell courted controversy when he gained planning approval to add an extension to his home, called Beauport Battery, and later went on to add a security fence following problems with intruders.
The extension, added around a decade ago, included a steam room, spa, gym and home cinema as well as a snooker and games room.
And in 2007 the racing star was given permission to create an eight-foot perimeter fence at his home, on Chemin de Beauport, which in 2010 was valued at £5.8 million by the Sunday Times Rich List.
Mr Mansell is understood to be an active buyer and seller in Jersey’s property market and in 2013 opened the ‘Mansell Collection’, a car dealership that also contains a museum dedicated to his F1 career.
In 2007, Nigel Mansell controversially built an 8 ft metal security fence around Beauport Battery.
At the time, Mr Mansell told the JEP that he needed to put up the security fence to protect his family from break-ins and attacks by local thugs.
