If the plans are approved, the main restaurant will feature an open kitchen, a retractable roof and a performance space, which could host open air theatre events, live music and film screenings in the summer.
Extra space inside will also be used for ‘pop up’ shops to display work by local artists. Next door, in what is currently the Sail Loft, would become a traditional delicatessen.
