Speaking in a YouTube video, Deputy Le Cornu said:’The issue is really why now, after 18 months absence, is she sufficiently recovered to suddenly stand for an election which is coming up in October.’
Deputy Sam Mezec, chairman of political party Reform Jersey earlier confirmed that Deputy Le Cornu had been expelled from the party describing his actions as ‘inexcusable’ following the Twitter message that read: ‘SHE is back and so conveniently in time, faking it like all good girls do.’
Despite his claims, Deputy Le Cornu has said the message was never intended as a personal attack and apologised to Deputy Moore if it was taken that way.
‘It has been misinterpreted as a personal attack and it was never intended as such if it has been taken that way I fully apologise to deputy Kristina Moore, her family and her supporters.’
