An announcement was made in the States Assembly on Tuesday morning that the Countess will be coming to Jersey on Tuesday 24 March, to carry out visits as patron of the NSPCC.
During her visit Sophie, the wife of Prince Edward, will visit the Gower Centre, home to NSPCC Jersey and attend a lunch hosted by the Lieutenant-Governor, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton, and Lady Dalton and Government House.
She will then visit sight impairment charity EYECAN in St Martin, before an engagement at the William Knott Child Development and Therapy Centre at Overdale.
It comes five years after the Countess of Wessex last visited the Channel Islands to mark the 70th anniversary of Liberation Day in Guernsey and Jersey.
