Senator Alan Maclean is visiting the country with business leaders next week to promote the Island just weeks after the UK stopped the Channel Islands from exploiting a VAT agreement with the UK that allowed fulfilment companies to import good to the UK without paying the tax.

The minister is hoping to save the industry and hundreds of jobs by looking east.

Senator Maclean is leading the delegation to the prosperous Zhejiang province in eastern China next week with Jersey Post and fulfilment firm Indigo Lighthouse.
