The plans for the former school are far more ambitious than previoius proposals and would see the conversion of the building into apartments.

More housing would be constructed in the substantial grounds to create a total of around 50 discount or social housing units and around 70 open-market homes built.

Jersey College for Girls moved up to Mont Millais in 1999, and a question mark has since hung over the old La Pouquelaye building, with various plans having been put forward for the site, including flats, States offices and a police station.
