TRAVEL advice has been issued by Ports of Jersey ahead of a busy week at the Airport with around 46,000 passengers expected during half-term.

More than 10,000 passengers are due to depart Jersey this weekend alone.

Alongside regular destinations, there are also six charter flights, two each to Funchal, Malaga and Lanzarote.

Ports advised passengers to “leave plenty of time” to check in luggage and clear security.

Head of security Maria Le Tiec said: “The temporary restriction on carrying liquids of more than 100ml in hand luggage remains for all UK airports, including Jersey. Such liquids must be taken out of your hand baggage and placed in a security tray, but they don’t need to be in a plastic bag.

“Any liquids in containers larger than 100ml need to be in checked-in hold baggage.”
