While a UK tax on passengers leaving British airports will go up by as much as 55 per cent from Monday, leaked plans to the JEP have revealed that Jersey Airport will put up charges imposed on every passenger flying in and out of the Island.

The increase in the UK’s air passenger duty, which applies to anyone taking a flight from the UK, will take effect from Monday. The hike in the charges will mean that a family of four flying economy to Australia will pay £340 in taxes – an extra £120.
