Senator Terry Le Sueur has proposed a deal with Grange Developments worth £1.8m million plus a cut of future profits for the States from the redevelopment of the site for housing, but a rival developer has offered to double the initial payment, guarantee a future share of sales value and retain part of the building for community facilities. In a letter to the minister expressing a formal interest in the Rouge Bouillon site, the developer said that the proposed deal being recommended to the States undervalues it considerably. Senator Jimmy Perchard has discussed the issue with the developer and although declining to name them at this stage, he said he believes their figures.
