Tracking equipment that was once the preserve of the secret services and seemingly far-fetched films is now available to Jersey parents who want to keep tabs on their children. A space age device is now available that will alert mums and dads the minute their teen starts hanging out at Liberation Square after having been told not to. Island-based private detective David Watkins is offering the new service, which will allow parents to know where their youngsters are, 24 hours a day. The unveiling of the service in Jersey follows the launch last week of a States police campaign urging parents to ask themselves if they know where their children are. It also follows an ITV documentary about such devices this week.
