The club’s company secretary, Ian Silvester, today denied knowledge of the £300,000 deal with On Ball Ltd which was reported by the Daily Mail.
‘I never read the newspapers,’ was Mr Silvester’s only comment to the JEP.An Inland Revenue spokesman said that he was aware of the claims but added that it was policy not to discuss individual investigations.
On Ball Ltd was set up with the Jersey Financial Services Commission in 2000 with a PO Box number in Somerville House, Phillips Street, given as as the company address.
