A WOODLAND in St Helier managed by Jersey Trees for Life has received funding to help the charity maintain it.
The funding means there will be new signs and tree labels at Adelina Wood, which is located next to Motormall Jersey, on Grande Route de St Jean.
A three-year partnership deal has been signed between Jersey Trees for Life and financial-services provider Accuro.
The charity revealed that costs for the “much-needed” resurfacing of the entrance driveway, as well as two custom-made barn owl boxes, have also been covered.
The sponsorship deal has also allowed every tree in Adelina Wood to be mapped online, as the charity aims to map every tree under its care.
Jersey Trees for Life chief executive Alex Morel said: “We’re so pleased to have got this partnership with Accuro up and running. It’s already made a noticeable positive difference to the woodland and we’re excited about seeing the rest of the plan come to fruition over the next two to three years.”

Adelina Wood was first planted in 2004, thanks to the generosity of Enid Gautier, who wanted to promote tree planting while creating a community area for the nearby residents, in memory of her mother, Adelina.
