JERSEY BULLS boss Gary Freeman spoke of how squad-depth will be key going into the second half of the season, with his side now four points from the top with three games in hand.
Sol Solomon grabbed an outstanding hat-trick to steer the Island club to a 4-0 win at Frimley Green, with Daryl Wilson hitting the other goal. It ensured the Bulls took full advantage of Combined Counties Premier South leaders Walton & Hersham losing at Badshot Lea.
Freeman was quick to praise the efforts of the group, with games continuing to come thick and fast.
‘It’s one of the headaches I’ve got in terms of keeping people happy and satisfied, but that’s a great place to be and the boys absolutely understand they all have a part to play,’ he said. ‘Daryl often does plenty of work which maybe doesn’t get noticed, Frank [Tobin] has had to do two roles today in each half and we’ve just freshened it up, which helped. Of course, Sol does things in a game which prove to make a significant difference but he may well be away next weekend on a trial, and I think they were here today having a watch. I’m sure they’ll have been pleased with what they saw.’
