Two people still in Jersey's hospital following Storm Ciarán

TWO people are still in hospital after being injured during Storm Ciarán.

Three Islanders were taken to the Emergency Department as Jersey was lashed by 100mph winds on Wednesday night, and two are still receiving treatment and are in a stable condition.

In an update on storm damage, the government said there was “superficial damage” to buildings within the Health estate, but this had not impacted operational services or the safety of patients and staff.

Some Hospital services have been reduced but are expected to be reinstated in full during the coming days.

The Emergency Department remains open as usual for life-threatening, serious illnesses, or injury.

The Mental Health Crisis Team remains operational and is available on 445290.
