Jersey Bulls win Sittingbourne replay to set up Knaphill FA Cup clash

Lorne Bickley scored twice against Sittingbourne on Tuesday night

LORNE Bickley scored twice as Jersey Bulls knocked out Sittingbourne in the FA Cup extra preliminary round.

The Bulls were forced to travel to Kent for the second time in four days after a goalless draw on Saturday.

But on Tuesday night, the Bulls found a way through the Brickies’ defence and will now face Knaphill at Springfield Stadium on Saturday 19 August.

Across the two ties, Bulls – playing a team in the league above – deserved their win but were made to work hard to break down the stubborn Sittingbourne defence.

Bickley diverted home a Jay Giles free-kick which bounced off the bar to give the Islanders the lead shortly after half-time before adding his second deep in to stoppage time.
