AN inquest into the death of a motorcyclist who was in an accident during the Jersey Motorcycle and Light Car Club sprint on the Five Mile Road last Saturday was opened on Friday.
Tributes have this week poured in for Kieran Le Bail (23), who was pronounced dead a short time after the accident.
In a statement the club said it was ‘saddened and shocked by the tragic incident’.
They added: ‘On behalf of everyone connected with the club, we would like to offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family, fiancée and many friends of Kieran.
‘We, and our governing body, are offering support to those affected by this tragic incident.’
Mr Le Bail worked for the Jersey Customs and Immigration Service, which flew the flags at its Maritime House headquarters at half-mast earlier this week.
The inquest was adjourned and investigations are continuing.
