A ‘SMALL number’ of engineers working for JT are facing voluntary redundancy, the company has confirmed.
Chief operating officer Thomas Helbo said that the process resulted from new technology which meant the company had identified ‘a small number’ of roles which could become redundant without affecting levels of customer service.
‘We know this will be a difficult time for the team and we’re working closely with those directly affected as we go through the process, making sure they have all the advice and support they need,’ he said.
JT employs a total of around 500 people, most of whom are base in Jersey or Guernsey.
