Emergency services were called to La Grande Route de St Ouen, near St Ouen’s Manor, shortly before 5pm.
There was only one vehicle involved – a red Nissan.
In a statement, police said: ‘Earlier this evening at 4.48pm emergency services responded to a road traffic collision on La Grande Route de St Ouen. Tragically the driver, in his early 30s died at the scene.
‘This collision remains under investigation and no further details will be released at this early stage, until all next of kin have been informed.
‘Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision or may have seen the vehicle immediately before the collision driving in the vicinity.’
