BEAULIEU students are being given an extra Christmas holiday today after a water pipe on the premises burst overnight forcing the school to close for the day.
Headmaster of the school Chris Beirne put out a tweet advising students to stay at home.
Today is the last day of term until the New Year.
He wrote: ‘Urgent notice to all Beaulieu students & parents – due to a major water pipe burst overnight on-site Jersey Water have had to turn all water off to the Beaulieu site which means a school closure day – if you have not set off for school stay at home.’
The school will re-open on Monday between 9am and 11am for students to collect their belongings before Christmas.
