Stuart James Taylor, director of the business, appeared in the Royal Court yesterday to admit contravening a restriction imposed by the Covid-19 (Workplace Restrictions)(Jersey) Order 2020 by continuing to operate the establishment’s sauna, jacuzzi and steam room facilities between 22 June and 8 September.
After being charged, the hotel claimed to have misinterpreted the rules and had immediately ‘rectified’ the issue as soon as it was brought to their attention.
The company was represented by Advocate Steven Chiddicks and will now appear before the Royal Court on 30 April at 10am for sentencing.
