WAITROSE is bringing back its free-hot-drink offer to loyalty card customers.
From 7 November, shoppers at the St Brelade, Vallée des Vaux and Rue des Prés stores will be able to claim a free americano, latte, cappuccino or tea with any purchase by presenting a myWaitrose card.
The offer was scrapped during the height of the pandemic two years ago.
In addition to the free-coffee offer, Waitrose will stock a selection of Caffè Nero’s ‘coffee at home’ retail products – including capsules, ground coffee and whole bean coffee – with exclusive discounts for myWaitrose members.
The new partnership is one of the biggest of its kind between a supermarket and coffee shop brand.
Between 7 and 30 November, myWaitrose members will also get 20% off Caffè Nero’s ‘Coffee at Home’ products in store and on Waitrose.com, which will be automatically applied when customers scan their myWaitrose card.
Charlotte Di Cello, commercial director for Waitrose, said: ‘Our customers loved the myWaitrose free coffee offer, so we’re really excited to bring it back, with premium beans from The Nero Roasting Company.
‘The partnership is an ideal fit, helping customers enjoy quality coffee both in store or at home – with even more benefits in the pipeline.’
Like the previous offer, customers will be asked to use their own cups – in a move to prevent waste – and complete a purchase in store before claiming their free drink.
