A WITNESS appeal has been issued after a driver fled following a serious road crash.
A Suzuki Vitara was found on the hill leading down towards St Aubin from Woodbine Stores with its engine running and significant damage to the front passenger side .
In a press statement, the States police said it is ‘believed the driver was not the registered keeper of the car’.
It is not known if there were any injuries, and no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information about the crash, which happened at about 10pm on Saturday 18 June, is being asked to phone the States police on 612612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
They are particularly keen to speak to a woman who is understood to have arrived on the scene shortly after the crash and saw a person walking away from the area.
