A JERSEY-based wedding photographer has been shortlisted for a “prestigious” national award.
Britta Houiellebecq, of Britta Marie Photography, said she was “absolutely thrilled” to be named one of six finalists in the UK Wedding Photographer category at this year’s UK Weddings and Honeymoons Awards.
The awards celebrate the “very best” across the wedding industry.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Ms Houiellebecq has been capturing couples’ special days for over ten years in the Island, the UK and beyond. On receiving the nomination, she said she was “super proud to be representing Jersey in this achievement.”
“There is so much talent in this industry, and it’s an honour to be recognised on a national level,” she said.
Her style has earned her a “loyal following” among couples, according to a release announcing her place on the shortlist.
Winners will be announced during a gala evening at The Dorchester in London on 13 February.
“I’m so looking forward to attending the gala evening,” said Ms Houiellebecq.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, Ms Houiellebecq also took part in a wedding fayre on the Island last weekend.
