Despite being wasteful in front of goal at the Orchard Ground on Saturday night, the Islanders netted twice in each half to maintain their 100% record in Combined Counties League Division I.
And the victory helped Bulls increase their advantage at the top of the table by a further point to 11, as second-placed Sandhurst Town were without a game and they were leap-frogged by Farnham Town – 2-0 winners at home against Dorking Wanderers Reserves.
Bulls took the lead in the eighth minute when home defender Arimze Nosike got his head to a Luke Campbell effort but was unable to prevent the ball from crossing the goal-line.
Shortly before the midway point of the half Sol Solomon doubled the Bulls’ advantage when, after dribbling in from the left, he toed the ball into the net from close range.
Substitute Mark Logue netted the visitors’ third, 13 minutes from the finish – a well-struck shot from 18 yards that deflected off a defender.
Time was almost up when Daryl Wilson was on a great run only to be brought down for a penalty kick.
Campbell stepped forward to make it 4-0, despite the ‘keeper getting a hand to the ball and pushing it onto a post on its way in.
