AN INSPIRED performance from Island player Ben Gallichan helped St Lawrence to their second Trinity Shield final success in three years last night.

They beat St Clement 5-2, with Gallichan repeatedly challenging the opponents' defence.

‘Ben [Gallichan] was exceptional tonight.' said St Lawrence manager Peter Flambard. 'He is a top drawer player and when you have a player like that in your side it gives everyone else confidence.

‘Ben also took his goal well and for me I thought it was the best goal of the game.’
