The naked body of a man wearing only socks was found on a beach on Saturday morning.
The discovery in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, was made at around 8:20am.
Police say the death is “currently being treated as unexplained”.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are urging anyone with information to call 101 and quote reference number 247 30/12/17.
