Firefighters, the States police and the ambulance service attended the incident which happened opposite Robert’s Garage at about 5.20 pm.
One eyewitness said that the collision looked to be minor but added that the incident had resulted in the Ring Road to become gridlocked.
The road was closed for a short time for the emergency services to deal with the incident.
