Bikers ride out in numbers to back Holidays for Heroes

The event, which is now in its seventh year, is the biggest motorcycling event in the Channel Islands raising thousands of pounds for charity.

Island bikers were joined by those from the UK, Guernsey and France to take part in the event which started from St Catherine’s Breakwater.

This year’s Ride Out took on a festival-theme for the first time with those taking part camping at the Jersey Scout Centre in St Ouen’s Bay yesterday and ending the ride watching a performance from 90s chart-toppers Reef, who were due to play at the Watersplash last night.

The hundreds of bikers that took part left St Catherine’s to travel along the Island’s east coast through St Clement and Havre des Pas, before travelling along Victoria Avenue, up to Red Houses and finishing along the Five Mile Road.
