Reports of people misusing laser pens have increased dramatically over recent years. They have been directed at moving vehicles and even aircraft on approach to Jersey Airport.
In a Facebook post, the States police said they received a number of reports on Monday.
They said: ‘Following a report of unknown persons shining laser pens at other members of the public and vehicles this evening, we would like to remind the public of the dangers around shining lasers at moving vehicles, persons and aircraft.
‘We would also advise that there are potentially offences being committed when using such devices in public areas. If you have any concerns about the usage of such devices – please contact us on 612612.’
