Hospital physio’s ban extended

A panel of the Health and Care Professions Council’s Conduct and Competence Committee found that there was no evidence that Marion Hazel Le Cornu had taken steps to address the ‘deficiencies’ identified when the previous 12-month suspension from the HCPC register was imposed on 21 April 2016.

On that occasion a panel found that she had showed a ‘lack of competence’ while employed at the General Hospital.

Her failings included flawed assessments, inaccuracies on documentation, poor clinical reasoning in identifying patients’ main problems, basic lack of knowledge and an inability to improve that knowledge despite a structured development plan put in place by her employer.
