Pilots in training for new Jersey to Alderney air service

Brem Wilson, director and shareholder of Air Alderney, has said that he is ‘100 per cent committed’ to setting up the airline and is aiming to establish a route between the islands in July.

‘We would not be doing that if we weren’t going forward. My aim is to get aircraft flying and get pilots trained and ready to get it going.’

Mr Wilson added that he chose only experienced pilots familiar with the Channel Islands and that test flights were due to be carried out within the next month.

As part of his business plan, Mr Wilson says that he aims to have one main aircraft, a back-up plane, two pilots and an engineer in Alderney by July. He also confirmed that a route to Cherbourg was also still due to be set up in September.
