Islanders shortlisted for national awards

Haute Vallée student Jayden Corley (12) and mother-of-one Lee-Anne Penn (55) both won awards at Jersey’s first Heart Awards held earlier this year, organised by the local branch of the British Heart Foundation.

The two Islanders have now made it on to shortlists, in separate categories, in the national British Heart Foundation awards.

Nominations are open until 15 April and the winners are due to be announced on 21 April.

Jayden won the Young Heart Hero award in Jersey’s own version after raising almost £2,000 for the charity.
