The law of the land when at the wheel

Although legislation has been in place for more than a decade, drivers in Jersey continue to flout the law, and some may not even know that they are breaking it.

Anyone ‘holding a telephone in any way’ is guilty of an offence. So, it is illegal to pick up a phone to pass to a passenger, plug it into a charger or take a photograph.
