A significant number of cases of flu in the Island have contributed to the current bed shortage at the Hospital.
Now Health officials are appealing to Island GPs to make sure that Islanders eligible for flu jabs are vaccinated as soon as possible.
Those deemed to be at risk are Islanders aged 65 and over, pregnant women and those with underlying health conditions including diabetes or chronic disease of the respiratory tract.
