Carl Roy Brennan was stopped by Customs officers at the Harbour as he tried to board the Condor Liberation to Poole in June, the Royal Court heard.
During a search of his car, wads of £10 and £20 notes were found stuffed inside a washbag hidden in a spare tyre.
The search came just days after the 42-year-old from Portsmouth, who has 42 previous convictions for violence, fraud, theft and drug-related offences, was bound over to leave Jersey by the Magistrate’s Court after he was caught arriving in the Island with a personal amount of cocaine.
