Max Denby, Lucas Parker and Adam Vautier were recognised for their heroics by the Jersey Humane Society during a ceremony at St Clement’s Parish Hall.
The society awards either a letter of congratulation, which is an informal certificate and the lower level of award, or a formal letter of appreciation.Recipients of the latter can also receive a bronze, silver or gold medal, depending on the level of danger each one faced.
Mr Parker (31) received a framed letter of appreciation for saving a man from drowning off Grève d’Azette.
Mr Vautier (35) was presented with the society’s bronze medal and a letter of appreciation for the actions he took on 31 July to stop a speeding jetski from crashing into swimmers in St Aubin’s Bay.
Mr Denby (16) was unable to attend the event but will receive a framed letter of congratulation. The teenager rescued two men in September when they got into difficulty 50 metres off Elizabeth Castle as they were trying to get back to shore.
