Help available for male domestic abuse victims

The data released by the States police did not specify if the women’s victims were male or female, or if the abuse occurred between spouses or partners, or family relatives.

However, Detective Inspector Mark Hafey, head of the Public Protection Unit, said that the number of reports of domestic violence for both men and women in Jersey is 20 per cent less than in 2014.

Figures show that there were a total of 27 domestic violence incidents involving female offenders in 2015, 47 in 2014 and 26 in 2013.
