Public ‘yes’ to Tamba growth

Jonathan Ruff, the owner of the visitor attraction, has outlined proposals for a new entertainment centre that would include mini-golf, a paintball zone and bowling alley as well as a 300-space car park on an area of disused glasshouses at the St Mary site.

He plans to fund the project through the building and sale of 15 homes on the current car park.

After he asked for Islanders’ views on the project via the Tamba Park website, more than 1,800 people voted in favour of the plans, with just 22 opposing them. Meanwhile, 88 per cent of the 1,100 people who took part in a Jersey Evening Post online poll also voted in favour of the plans.
