Park road changes an ‘insult’ to Clinton’s memory

Michael Pringle has called the reluctance to act by parish authorities as ‘horrendous’ after his son Clinton Pringle was hit by the van when he crossed the paved area of Tunnell Street to play in Millennium Town Park earlier this summer.

Clinton, who was visiting the Island from Scotland, was airlifted to Southampton Hospital but later died from his injuries.

Although temporary signs warning pedestrians and cyclists they are rejoining a road have been placed around the park, Mr Pringle has urged the parish to do more to improve road safety measures in the area.
