Between January and the end of spring the number of reports of bike thefts steadily increased every month, from three in January to eight in May.
During August the force received ten reports of stolen bikes, compared to seven for the same time last year and 20 in August 2014. The total number of reports from January to 30 August was 62.
And a black mountain bike was stolen from a garden shed on Route de la Trinité between 6 pm last Friday and 8 am on Sunday.
