Five islands in single day for cyclist Alex

Setting off at 6 am on Friday in Alderney, Alex Hilton, who has Asperger syndrome, completed a circuit of each of the largest islands, including Guernsey, Herm and Sark.

He finished in Jersey, where he cycled up 12 hills around the Island’s coast – at 6.45 pm.

The 24-year-old, the son of politician Deputy Jackie Hilton, has already raised more than £4,000 for the Jersey Sports Association for the Disabled and Wet Wheels Jersey, with more donations still to be counted.
