GCSE results – Jersey beats England again

GCSE students in the Island achieved a 76.8 per cent pass rate at grades A* to C, while pupils in England managed a 66.6 per cent pass rate.

This year 988 Jersey students sat a total of 8,985 GCSE exams and the proportion of higher grades attained by Islanders – A* and A – has increased from 28 per cent to 29.5 per cent.

The Education Minister Rod Bryans and the Island’s head teachers have praised pupils for their hard work and Education will publish a full report on the GCSE results later this year.
