Video of a Jersey sunset was broadcast to a London pub

A PROMOTIONAL video showing the reactions of Londoners watching a Jersey sunset on a big screen in the capital has received more than 120,000 views online.

Visit Jersey, the Island’s tourism marketing body, arranged for a high-definition camera to be attached to the Watersplash at St Ouen’s Bay and for one week earlier this month pub-goers – including influential travel writers – at the Crown and Shuttle, in the fashionable suburb of Shoreditch, witnessed the sight of sundown from the bay.

The live feed was shown on a screen at the pub – and the entire event was also documented in a separate video which has gone viral.

Ten days after the video, entitled Shoreditch to Shoreline, was put on the internet it has amassed tens of thousands of views on Facebook and 2,000 shares. The video has also performed well on YouTube and can be viewed here

How many bookings has it created?

It is easy enough, by paying for promotion to obtain views of anything on YouTube even say paid actors watching a sunset.

But bookings are the key measure. Not views.
